The Eiserfeld Municipal Bank's glass façade was the first to be printed with the Dip-Tech Digital Ceramic In-Glass Printers and Digital Ceramic Inks in 2007. A multicolor satellite image of the town of Eiserfeld and its surroundings was printed directly onto the glass. Bernd Hoffman, the Glass Design Engineer, and Oestereich Rappaport, the project's architect, stated that the many benefits such as design flexibility, durability and colorfastness, and cost advantages made them confident in their decision to be early adaptors and implementers of the technology in the first architectural glass application.
