New York City Middle School 114 features a multicolored art glass installation created by Mary Temple. The printed bands of color appear to have shadows of trees though there is no window or light source to cast these shadows. Temple initially attempted to create this effect with ceramic tiles, but could not achieve the hues she desired. GGI's AliceĀ® proved to be the right solution for this project. GGI's team worked closely with Temple to attain the precise colors, tones of light and dark, and accuracy between the joints of the panels. Temple describes the works as a "stunning interplay of color and light, shadow and suggestion, ink and glass".
